Pleasant Green sits at the foot of the Blue Ridge, close enough to Downtown Crozet that you could walk it, and the townhomes here are new from the ground up. This is a Stanley Martin community built along Rambling Brook Lane, a cluster of attached-garage homes designed for people who want mountain views and a short commute without the weekend upkeep of an older house. The sales office anchors the neighborhood, and the model homes do the talking: open main floors, decks off the back, and quartz kitchen islands wide enough to actually prep a meal on.

What they build

The homes at Pleasant Green are townhomes with three to four bedrooms, two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half baths, and roughly 1,725 to 2,000-plus finished square feet. Each comes with an attached garage and an open layout meant to spread out into. Two floor plans carry the neighborhood, the Lennox and the Lucas, and the finishes are consistent across them: energy-efficient Trane HVAC, GE kitchen appliances, and a ten-foot quartz island that gives the kitchen its center of gravity. Laundry sits up on the bedroom level, stacked and out of the way, which is the kind of small planning decision you notice most after you have carried a basket up a flight of stairs a few hundred times.

Stanley Martin leans into the low-maintenance pitch, and it holds up on the details. Lawn care is handled by the HOA. Backyards can be fenced in, which the company frames plainly as a safe spot for a dog. Grass backyards give onto outdoor-living spaces, and select homesites are positioned for mountain views off the deck. The company also says its pricing is transparent, with no surprise upgrade costs along the way, and that incentives are available toward closing costs or a rate buy-down.

The neighborhood

Pleasant Green is amenity-rich in the way newer developments tend to be, but the specifics here are worth naming. There is a renovated clubhouse that residents can reserve for private events twice a month at no additional cost, which is a genuinely useful perk for anyone who hosts. Beyond that: two tot lots, a basketball court, community fire pits, and gas grilling stations scattered through the grounds. The pitch is a clubhouse that works like an extension of your own home, a quiet spot some evenings and a place to gather around the fire on others while kids run the nearby play areas.

The location does a lot of the work. The homes fall within the Albemarle County Public School District, and the schools are close: Crozet Elementary is 0.6 miles out, Joseph T. Henley Middle School 1.4 miles, and Western Albemarle High School 1.8 miles. Charlottesville, UVA, and Martha Jefferson Hospital are about a 20-minute drive. Crozet's outdoor life is right at hand, too, with Claudius Crozet Park about a mile and a half away, Old Trail Golf Club at 2.3 miles, Mint Springs Park at three, Beaver Creek Reservoir at four, and Shenandoah National Park roughly twelve miles out. Restaurants and coffee, from MudHouse to Crozet Pizza to Fardowners, sit about ten minutes off, and for commuters without a car the Crozet Connect bus lines and the Jaunt Crozet Link run to UVA, UVA Medical, and the Charlottesville Downtown Mall.
