Downtown Crozet

Downtown is the Crozet you picture: the railroad tracks, the old depot, The Square's row of places to eat and drink, and the library that anchors the village's civic life. Most of what makes the town legible happens within a five-minute walk here — morning coffee, a slice at the pizza house that made the town famous, errands at the hardware store that has held its corner since 1949.

It's also the part of Crozet changing fastest. The Barnes Lumber redevelopment is adding a plaza and new storefronts behind The Square, so the walkable core grows a little every year. Park once and do the whole loop on foot.
